BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 26. Azerbaijan imported tobacco and its industrial substitutes worth $97 million from January through October this year, Trend reports.
The data of the State Customs Committee showed that this is 19.2 percent more than in the same period last year.
The cost of tobacco and its industrial substitutes exported by Azerbaijan in the past 10 months amounted to $11.1 million, which is 49.6 percent, or almost two times less than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, expenses for the import of tobacco and its industrial substitutes amounted to 0.7 percent of Azerbaijan's total import expenses, and export income - 0.01 percent of total export income.
Overall, from January through October 2023, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues exceeded 26.4 billion manat ($15.5 billion), which is 2.3 percent less than the same period last year.
