Georgian starts withdrawing from crisis: prime minister

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 26 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia / Despite that the last ten months have been particularly severe for the economy of Georgia, the country began to gradually withdraw from the crisis, said the Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri at an international conference of central banks, which takes place in the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel.

The Prime Minister drew the attention of the conference participants to the economic indicators of Georgia. According to him, despite that considering various factors, this year was quite difficult, the economy of Georgia withstood challenges. Gilauri told about a new package to stimulate the economy, noting that the income tax was reduced in 2009.

He said that it is intended to issue treasury obligations that would allow banks to increase their portfolios.
