If Europe intends to buy Iranian gas, then it must overcome several obstacles in its relations with Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a news conference today in Baku.
"Europe sees the nuclear program as a problem," he said. "This should not be an obstacle for the purchase of gas."
According to the president, Europe needs Iranian gas, but Iran does not need the European market.
"If Europe needs gas, we are ready to negotiate," Ahmadinejad said.
Ahmadinejad noted that Iran may sell gas within its own borders in the form of raw materials and finished products.
