The President of Georgia considers global inflation a major threat to economic stability of the country, President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a session of the government held at Sataplia caves on Friday. The President said the inflation will raise oil and food prices.

The President of Georgia considers global inflation a major threat to economic stability of the country, President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a session of the government held at Sataplia caves on Friday. The President said the inflation will raise oil and food prices.

"The prices are becoming prohibitive every day. With our limited opportunities, we must do everything, develop programs to alleviate the population, especially the socially vulnerable, the blow, which is associated with the wave of global inflation," he said.

The President instructed the government to mobilize funds from the reserve fund to solve these problems, and once again urged to reduce administrative costs.

According to the Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, a program will be developed in this regard soon, which will be realized in January-February.
