The number of visitors to Georgia increased by 36 percent and hit 2,032,586 in 2010 compared to the previous year. According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, roughly 672,316 people (33.1 percent of the total number of visitors) from Europe (excluding CIS) visited Georgia or 35 percent more compared to the previous year.
Roughly 1,286,329 people (63.2 percent of the total number) from the CIS visited Georgia or 35 percent more compared to 2009.
