Iran Inaugurates three Infrastructural Projects

Iran on Thursday inaugurated several major infrastructural projects with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in presence, reported Fars News Agency.

President Ahmadinejad inaugurated three important projects in the central province on Qom on Thursday.

The projects included the over 150-km-long Qom-Garmsar intercity highway, the West-Asia Steel Factory and a water supply facility in the dry-climate province.

The Qom-Garmsar highway eases the access of five different provinces to the holy city of Mashhad in northeast of Iran.

While, the West-Asia Steel Factory is built with a capacity of producing 550,000 tons of steel plates.

It was installed at the cost of 2,300 billion rials and is to create 600 direct job opportunities.

Moreover, the third project (the water supply facility) would provide water for 10 provincial cities and 100 villages in thirsty province via a 290-km pipeline.

President Ahmadinejad is planned o address a local residents in Qom later in the day.
