Russian holding to build greenhouses in Kazakhstan's Turkestan region

Russian holding "Eko-Kultura" (agro-industrial complex) will build a greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region, Trend reports via the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

The area of the complex is to exceed 500 ha.

The construction was discussed within the framework of Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable 2019 by the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and the holding officials.

The investments worth $1 billion are to be attracted for the construction.

The attracting of the investment includes issuing of “green bonds” of Astana International Financial Centre.

Eko-Kultura is currently realizing the first stage of a similar project in Almaty region on the area of 18 ha. In order to realize the second stage of the project the Almaty region akimat (administrative center) allocated a 40 ha big land area within the Bereke industrial zone. Within the second stage the signing of a quadripartite framework agreement is to take place (Eko-Kultura, Green Land Alatau, Sberbank and KazakhExport).
