Iranian President held a meeting with heads of joint chambers of commerce at Trade Promotion Organization.
Hamid Hosseini, Head of joint Iran-Iraq joint Chamber of Commerce, discussed the details of the President's meeting with members of joint chambers of commerce in an interview to Trend.
"The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has set up advisory councils in joint chambers of commerce to help exporters to maintain relations with other organizations. One of the first was the Foreign Trade Advisory Council that works with Iran's 13 neighbor countries alongside China and India," he said.
He added, "These countries have the priority in Iran's foreign relations and the heads of joint chambers of commerce of these countries were invited to this meeting to discuss the aims of the Council. The session was attended by heads of joint chambers of commerce of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Iraq, Emirates, India, China and Turkey."
He went on to say, "Good suggestions were made and it is expected that the Foreign Trade Advisory Council will function at the Trade Promotion Organization as a think tank. The decisions of the Council will be advisory for Trade Promotion Organization of Iran at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade."
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani hold the meeting alongside the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, the Governor of Central Bank of Iran and other officials. It was attended by economists, businessmen and members of joint chambers of commerce.
