Iran's Qom Province has produced 75,000 tons of petrochemical products in the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) despite the coronavirus spread, the head of Chamber of Commerce in Qom Abolfazl Khaki said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Qom Province has exported $57 million goods from its customs crossing to global markets that included 48,100 tons of goods, to the Emirates, China and Uzbekistan ,"said Khaki.

"The suspension of commercial cards is one of the challenges for production and industrialize unites in Qom Province. There were some big units that have temporary imported basic materials and then exported their products and the suspension of the cards seriously hurts them," he said.

Meanwhile, the Plan and Budget Organization of Iran has assigned a $5.9-million credit to connect the Qom Salafchegan Special Economic Zone to Iran's railway network.

The connections would accelerate the cargo transportation and improve the production leap.

The plans also include producing healthy food and supporting food security as part of animal husbandry sector. The animal breeding units are being monitored so the produced goods have good quality.
