Corn oil produced by Georgian Plant Oil Company Qarva to enter supermarkets, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The product will appear on the Georgian market in one month.

Giorgi Tabagari, the general director of the company noted, that the company will process 70 tons of corn and 75,000 liters of oil in a month. With this, the company will seize the premium segment of the local market.

In one month, corn oil produced by Qarva will appear in the supermarkets, such as Carrefour, Agrohub, and Europroduct.

"The negotiations with the supermarkets are underway. COVID-19 slowed down this process, but we managed to overcome obstacles and we will offer customers a Georgian product," declared Tabagari.

The total price of the investment is 8 million lari ($2.4 million) and the company employs 50 locals in Khobi.
