Number of licenses issued for establishment of enterprises in Iran increases

The number of licenses issued for the establishment of enterprises in Iran increased by 40.3 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, the licenses were issued for establishment of 27,900 enterprises. While in the same period last Iranian year, 19,900 enterprises were licensed for establishment in Iran.

“About 3.65 quadrillion rials (about $86.9 billion) are to be invested for the establishment of these enterprises. This is an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 2.43 quadrillion rials (about $57.9 billion) in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In addition, about 628,000 people are estimated to be employed in Iran with the establishment of these licensed enterprises, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, the employment increased by 37.8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 455,000 people were planned to be employed in the same period last Iranian year.
