BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. Iran exported more than 7.76 million tons of agricultural and food products (including pistachios, tea, dairy products and etc.) worth approximately $5.2 billion, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to the IRICA, Iran's agricultural and food products were mainly exported to Iraq, the UAE and Afghanistan for the last year.
Generally, Iran exported 56,300 tons of pistachios worth $405 million during the reporting period.
At the same time, 36,700 tons of dry tea worth $44.1 million were exported from the country in the last year. Iran’s tea exports increased by 60 percent in value and 35 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
Furthermore, Iran exported 497,000 tons of milk and dairy products worth $716 million within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 60 percent in value and 7 percent in volume compared to the preceding year.
Overall, Iran exported more than 122 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $53.2 billion over the last Iranian year, which increased by 10 percent in value, while it did not change in volume compared to the preceding year.
Meanwhile, Iran's total non-oil trade turnover for the last Iranian year amounted to over 159 million tons worth approximately $113 billion. The trade turnover increased by 11.2 percent in value compared to the preceding year.
