BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Iran’s imports through the customs of Kermanshah province (western Iran) decreased by 27 percent in value and 20 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office, Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.
"In four months, a total of 5,220 tons of goods worth $25.2 million were imported through the province’s customs," the official added.
Abbaszadeh added that the imported goods were mainly various kinds of equipment, such as diesel generators, various catalysts, etc.
There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province, Iran.
In total, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
