International Energy Conference Begins in   Lithuania

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / The International Energy Conference is to begin in Vilnius on 10 October. The Presidents of Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia and Lithuania will participate in this conference.

During the conference the presidents will sign three agreements on cooperation in energy sphere, on establishment of company, which will be involved in development of pipeline route Odessa - Brodi - Plotzk. Lithuania and Poland will sign a document on cooperation in electric energy sphere.

Speakers to the conference are:

- Matthew Bryza, the assistant to the US Deputy Secretary of State on European issues, "Energy protection of Eurasia: Geopolitics and Diversification of gas delivery sources";

- Jean-Arnold Vinia, the head of the Energy policy and security of deliveries of the European Commission General Directorate on energy and transport, on "Increase of energy security of Europe: Future Activities"

- Victor Elbling, the Deputy Head of Special Task Group on energy sphere and the head of the International Economic Policy Department of the German Federal Foreign Ministry, "Cooperation between the EU and h neighboring regions in energy sphere";

- Bruce Jackson, the chairman of Transitive Democracy Period Project, a member of the US Council of Foreign Issues, "Relations between energy security and democratic development, and also its expansion to the East Europe, (EU's Eastern dimensions) and etc.
