Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 April / Trend / According to the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee, in the first quarter of 2008, consumers (including export) received 2mln tons of oil products, which is 8.2% more than during the same period of 2007.
A total of 68.9% of the sold oil products went to the domestic market and 31.1% was exported.
Fuel oil comprised 31.3% of the sold products, diesel fuel - 30.1%, petrol - 12.6%, kerosene - 9.7%, LP gas - 1.8%, oil asphalt and lubricants - 1.7%, other oil products - 12.8%.
Oil products in Azerbaijan are produced at two Baku oil refineries with a total capacity of 20mln tons of oil per year. Both refineries are owned by SOCAR, which annually processes over 6mln tons of oil produced in the offshore and onshore fields through its own funds.
