By 2015 Turkey will Produce 1/3 of Oil it Consumes

Turkey, Ankara, 4 July / Trend corr A.Alaskarov/ Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the 5th energy forum in Istanbul. Speaking at the event, he stated that given economic growth, Turkey's energy resources demand is growing, since only in the first quarter of this year country's economic growth totalled 6.6%.  

"Erdogan commented on the arrangements being taken by the Government to provide country with energy resources," Turkiye newspaper reported. "We decided to improve drilling in the country. Turkish oil company (TPAO) invested $4.5bln within the county and abroad during recent six years," said Erdogan.

Prime Minister said by 2015 Turkey intends to produce 1/3 part of the oil it consumes.
