Joint ventures, created by SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) and the Italian company Saipem, can be an example of successful work in a number of major oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said at the meeting with a delegation from the company Saipem, headed by Director General Ives Inbonan.
Abdullayev said JV will be able to work in projects such as the Chirag oil project (increase in oil production in the offshore block of Azerbaijani fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli - ACG), the second phase of the development of offshore gas-condensate field Shah Deniz, promising structure Absheron and other projects
In particular, the company is actively working within the joint venture BosShelf during 10 years. Earlier BosShelf together with McDermott Caspian Contractors on BP order, which is the operator of the ACG, built six platforms in the development of these fields. Also, companies are working within the Alliance "SOCAR-Saipem", created in 2008 for diving and marine transportation and installation operations.
