Iran has hiked exports of power supplies to the neighboring countries by over 6% since the start of the new Iranian year (March 21, 2010), a power ministry statement announced on Wednesday.
The statement said that Iran has exported approximately 4,918GW/ph of electricity to the neighboring countries in the last 9 months, which shows a 12.6% growth compared with the figures of the same period last year.
Iran has power swap deals with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Afghanistan and the autonomous region of Nakhichevan (Azerbaijan), FNA reported.
