The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide Georgia with a loan worth 20 million euro to complete rehabilitation of the Inguri hydroelectric power station and a cascade Vardnil hydroelectric station I.
The loan will be used to rehabilitate two of the five aggregates of the Inguri hydroelectric power station (rehabilitation of the remaining three is over), a message said. Some funds will be used to rehabilitate the water supply channel Vardnil hydroelectric power station, included in the complex Inguri hydroelectric power station. The implementation of this project will promote the safe passage of water into the Black Sea.
The European Investment Bank is one of the sides financing the project.
