In 2010, the Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported about 32.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey from various sources compared to over 33.6 billion cubic meters in 2009, a statement posted on the official website of Botas said.
Botas imported about 37.8 million cubic meters in 2008.
Some 660 million cubic meters of gas fall to Botas's export operations in 2010. About 721 million cubic meters of gas fall to export operation last year compared to 443 million cubic meters in 2008. This figure was 31 million cubic meters of gas in 2007.
About 31.46 billion cubic meters of gas were sold on the Turkish domestic market. More than 32 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in 2009 on the Turkish domestic market compared to more than 36 billion cubic meters in 2008. This figure amounted to 35.1 billion cubic meters in 2007.
