Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb. 17 / Trend H. Hasanov /
"Turkmengeologia" state corporation opened a new promising natural gas field in the south-east of the country, the organization said.

The well No 3 gave industrial gas inflow. It was drilled in the area Dervezekem, located in the district Vekilbazar in Mary region. According to the report, exploratory wells were drilled on the northern slope of the Karabil hill. However, due to high-pressure water horizon in the Albian deposits, the drillers failed to reach the design depth.

Another attempt to discover the productive horizon was successful. The first object of testing ensured an influx of natural gas from the well.

Huge hydrocarbons were obtained from a depth of 3,768-3,756 meters.

The specialists note several important features of a promising field Dervezekem. It has high pressure and good reservoir properties of collectors, a small content of hydrogen sulfide (0.6 percent) and possible joint operation with the Garabil mine, which is under development.
The preparatory work is underway to test the second and subsequent objects above the section.

"Discovering of a promising field once again indicates that Turkmenistan has huge potential of proved, probable and possible reserves and resources of hydrocarbon raw materials," a statement said.
Turkmengeologiya brigades have recently received commercial gas inflow.

This is not the first point on a map of this hearth, which makes adjustments to its estimated reserves. The Corporation continues to rapidly explore Yashlar, Minar, West Yandakli, Doliguyi, Egritegenli, Gazanli, Shabasan, Garakel.

It is known that the successful conducting of exploration operations by specialists of the corporation increased the initial rates. They hit up to 21 trillion cubic meters of gas.
