The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will complete work on the creation of a circular gas distribution system in Baku and the surrounding villages by late 2012, SOCAR's Azerigas reported at an open hour for the press.
The circular gas distribution system in Baku will allow to ensure a uniform gas pressure in all areas and improve gas supply to consumers.
"Work on the construction of main gas pipelines will be completed by late 2012 under the project on the creation of a circular gas distribution system in Baku," the company reported.
SOCAR intends to carry out a complete renovation and modernization of the gas distribution system to improve the quality of gas supply to Baku and surrounding villages. The upgrading and renovation will increase the level of gas supply and reduce the amount of loss in transit.
