The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will conduct monitoring and reporting on the environmental conditions at the sites of operating companies working offshore in Azerbaijan, the company reported. The decision was made at a meeting, held under the chairmanship of SOCAR vice-president Rafig Huseynzade.
It was decided that work should be conducted by the SOCAR Ecology Office in the shortest time possible.
The meeting noted that reports should indicate the percentage of oil-polluted lands and expand cooperation with "EKOL".
