Azerbaijan approves new transformer oil standards
Azerbaijan, Baku, July 26 / Trend, E. Ismayilov /
The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents has adopted new national standards for transformer oil prepared by the Yusif Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes.
He said if the country used the standards adopted in the Soviet period, calculated for the freezing point of -45 degrees, the new standard envisages the production of products with the freezing point of -30 and -45 degrees.
"The standard was coordinated with all relevant agencies and approved by the committee," the source said.
He said transformer oil in Azerbaijan is produced at the Azneftyag oil refinery, which is owned by SOCAR. The oil refinery specializes in the production of dark-oil products.
