Iran will launch two gasoline production units in Abadan and Arak refineries with production capacity of 1.5 million liters of super gasoline per day by mid - November, Fars News Agency reported quoting Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company Alireza Zeyghami as saying.
" The National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company started experimental launch of gasoline production unit in Arak refinery with production capacity of 2 million liters per day," he said.
He noted production of 3 million liters of super gasoline in Arak and Abadan refineries will meet the country's gasoline demand in a definite period.
The country i s expected to launch new gasoline production units in Tehran and Lavan with production capacity of 1.3 and 1.8 million liters per day.
More than $250 million has been invested on the additional refinery for super gasoline plan and production of the Abadan Oil Refinery is predicted t o reduces the country's import.
Earlier, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Ali-Reza Zeighami said emergency plans will help boost the country's gasoline output sharply by early 2012
