Kazakhstan could become one of the five largest oil exporters, said the Secretary General of the International Energy Forum (IEF) Noe van Hulst.
"Oil production will grow rapidly in Kazakhstan and may reach 2 million barrels a day by 2016 and perhaps 4 million barrels per day by 2035," Hulst said in an interview to the press service of the prime minister of Kazakhstan. "Kazakhstan could become one of the five largest oil exporters in the world."
According to Hulst, now oil production in Kazakhstan is 1.5 million barrels a day, which is two times more than three years ago.
