In the first half of 2012, Uzbekistan reduced the volume of extraction of liquid hydrocarbons (oil, including gas condensate) by 10.8 per cent compared to the same period of 2011 up to 1.666.6 million tons, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said on Tuesday.
Oil production during the reporting period decreased by 13.1 per cent to 845,100 tons, with gas condensate production by 8.5 per cent, to 821,500 tons.
Natural gas production decreased by 3.1 per cent, amounting to 31.317 billion cubic meters in the first half of 2012.
In January - June 2012, production of gasoline decreased by 13.1 per cent and amounted to 599,200 tons, kerosene by 2.9 per cent to 169,200 tons, diesel fuel - by 9.1 per cent to 502,900 tons, fuel oil - two per cent to 136,900 tons and oil bitumen - six per cent to 73,000 tons.
Production of hydrocarbon liquefied gas increased by 2.3 per cent and hit 133,600 tons.
In 2011 Uzbekistan decreased extraction of liquid hydrocarbons by 7.7 per cent to 3.585 million tons and natural gas by 4.4 per cent to 63.04 billion cubic meters compared to 2010.
