The number of vehicles running on gas has increased in Georgia, the chairman of the Georgian oil products importers and exporters Vano Mtvralashvili said.

According to him, this is due to the low cost of this type of fuel, compared to gasoline and diesel fuel.

"In Georgia, many drivers have long ago rebuilt the engines of their vehicles to run on gas which has greatly increased the number of consumers at natural gas filling stations for vehicles," he said.

Refilling the car with gas is twice cheaper than refilling with gasoline or diesel.

"The number of vehicles running on gas in Georgia is growing day by day. Based on demand, the leading oil companies of Georgia - Wissol, SOCAR and Gulf actively expand their networks of natural gas filling stations to make the fuel as accessible to drivers," Mtvaralashvili said.
