In January-May 2013, the Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 15.54 billion cubic meters of gas from a variety of sources, compared to 18.71 billion cubic meters in January-May 2012, according to a statement posted on the Botas official website.

In January-May 2013, the Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 15.54 billion cubic meters of gas from a variety of sources, compared to 18.71 billion cubic meters in January-May 2012, according to a statement posted on the Botas official website.

In 2012, Botas imported 43.09 billion cubic meters of gas from a variety of sources compared to more than 39.7 billion cubic meters in 2011.

Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan, which is supplied via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).

Also in January-May, Botas exported 227 million cubic meters of gas compared to 235 million cubic meters in January-May last year.

Last year, the export performance of Botas reached 622 million cubic meters of gas versus 726 million cubic meters in 2011.

In January-May 2013, some 16.45 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in the domestic market of Turkey compared to 18.47 billion cubic meters of gas in January-May last year.

Some 41.44 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in the Turkish domestic market in 2012 compared to 39.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011.
