Novorossiysk port increases shipping of petroleum products by almost 11%

Russia's Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port shipped 56.33 million tons of oil in Jan.-Sept. 2015, or 1.4 percent less than in the same period of 2014 (57.14 million tons), said the port's website.

Novorossiysk port shipped 23.76 million tons of petroleum products during the reporting period, or 10.9 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2014.

In total, the port has shipped 103.97 million tons of various cargo in Jan.-Sept. 2015, or 2.9 percent more than in the same period of 2014.

Novorossiysk port shipped 72.78 million tons of oil in 2014, compared to 91.74 million tons in 2013.

The port shipped 27.78 million tons of petroleum products in 2014, compared to 24.2 million tons in 2013.

In total, the port shipped 122.09 million tons of various cargo in 2014, compared to 129.48 million tons in 2013.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) ships its oil through the Novorossiysk port. Oil is delivered there via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.
