Liquefied gas supply in Uzbek region to be increased

Liquefied gas supplies to the Fergana region in Uzbekistan in the autumn-winter period will increase by 48 percent, Trend reports via press service of the Ministry of Energy.

“It is necessary to provide a timely uninterrupted supply of liquefied gas to the population, as well as increase and improve the localization of spare parts for cylinders,” said Chief of Staff and Minister of Energy, Alisher Sultanov.

In total, in the autumn-winter period, 2020-2021 consumers will be supplied with 1,717 million cubic meters of natural gas. This is 241.5 million cubic meters or 16.4 percent more than last season.

The number of natural gas consumers in Fergana is 320,400 people, of which 3,500 are legal entities, and 316,800 are physical consumers (households).

The region uses 7,135 km of gas pipelines and 8,367 gas distribution points to supply consumers with natural and liquefied gas.

From October 1, 2020, 20 teams of special equipment and 20 teams of 80 people will operate in the region To improve the quality of customer service.

Also, in the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021, it is planned to supply consumers with 54,700 thousand tons of liquefied gas. This is 48.6 percent more than last season.
