Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oils export to France despite COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 685,311 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 208.7 million euros to France in November 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 4.7 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 1.3 billion euros to France over the period from Jan. through Nov. 2020.

Thus, the November volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to France is 37.4 percent more than in volume compared to October 2020 (498,493 tons) and is 3.4 times more than in Jan. 2020 (197,514 tons).

November’s export value is also 26.6 percent more than in October 2020 (164.7 million euros) and is 2.1 times more than in Jan. 2020 (96.5 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $2.4 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $4.03 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to France amounted to $1.7 billion over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $3.3 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from France amounted to nearly $715.8 million over the reporting period, compared to $647.4 million during the same period of 2019.
