Azerbaijan has increased ethylene production in 2021 by 64.9 percent and brought it to 168,400 tons, Trend reports with reference to the country’s Statistical Committee.
This is while methanol production saw a 20.6 percent decrease in 2021, standing at 378,200 tons.
Propylene output rose by 41.7 percent year-on-year and amounted to 146,400 tons and marketable propylene production accounted for 137,000 tons of this volume. As such, marketable propylene output rose by 40.5 percent.
Azerbaijan’s polyethylene production was equal to 164,700 tons in 2021, showing a 24.5 percent increase as compared to 2020, while paints and varnishes output grew by 77.7 percent and stood at 28,476,500 tons.
