ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 26. The reserves of aviation fuel in Kazakhstan are about two months old, said Vice Minister of Energy Erlan Akkenzhenov, Trend reports.
"RON-92 gasoline is more than a month's supply—diesel fuel, to be precise—36 days, RON-95 gasoline—24 days. Factories in the country also produce fuel," he said.
Speaking about prices, Akkenzhenov noted that there are no plans to change prices for RON-92 and RON-95 gasoline in Kazakhstan.
"The price of RON-92 gasoline is regulated by the state; at the moment, the maximum price is 205 tenge (about $0.43) per liter. RON-95 gasoline is not regulated by the state, it is regulated by the market. Therefore, market players have the right to set prices independently. However, according to the pricing rules of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition, prices are based on the price per purchase. If we are talking about Kazakhstani gasoline, the prime cost is the prices at which our local companies sell," he said.
The vice minister also named the approximate prime cost of gasoline in the Russian Federation - it is about 390-400 tenge (about $0.84).
Gasoline production in Kazakhstan at the end of 2022 amounted to 5 million tons, diesel fuel at 5.2 million tons, fuel oil at 2.8 million tons, jet fuel at 0.7 million tons, and bitumen at 1 million tons.
