ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 26. Turkmenistan's Turkmengaz State Concern is negotiating with international investors on the second and third stages of the development of the large Galkynysh field, Trend reports.
This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern, Myrat Archayev at the 28th International Conference and Exhibition 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023' (OGT-2023).
According to him, it is predicted that significant results will be achieved next year in this particular aspect.
He noted that Turkmenistan's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which more than 20 billion of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
"Natural gas is an economically efficient option to solve the problems of supply disruptions, being a suitable alternative from the point of view of ecology and the technological chain," Myrat Archayev said.
Meanwhile, the international exhibition and conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023" (OGT-2023) will be held in Ashgabat from October 25 to October 27 this year.
The event will be attended by representatives of state and international organizations, national and private oil and gas companies, as well as experts from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, the US, Russia, the UAE, China, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and Singapore.
