Azerbaijan records decline in volume of crude oil exports to Thailand

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. Azerbaijan exported over 48,000 tons of crude oil and petroleum products to Thailand from January through September 2023, which is 0.24 percent of the total volume of raw materials exported from Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

According to estimations based on data from Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, this indicator fell by eight times (319,000 tons) year on year.

The value of Azerbaijani oil and petroleum product exports to Thailand from January to September 2023 was $48.68 million. This indicates an almost 14-fold decline ($205.39 million) year on year.

Azerbaijan exported 19.8 million tons of oil and petroleum products to international markets during the reporting period, representing a 1.86 percent increase over the previous year (19.5 million tons). Oil exports exceeded $12.1 billion in value, representing a fall of 18.59 percent or $2.7 billion from the previous year.
