The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on sale of diesel fuel through the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi, Trend reports. The French Total won the tender with a right to deliver 200,000 tons of diesel fuel L-62 on FOB terms from the Poti and Batumi ports.
According to an official of SOCAR, oil product manufactured at the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery plant (ORP) will be shipped within 2006.
In January to November the Marketing and Economic Operations Department (MEOD) of the SOCAR exported around 410,000 tons of diesel fuel from the Heydar Aliyev ORP.
