The investments made in Iran’s Hormozgan province to improve the industry has increased by 312 percent during eight months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Shata news agency cited Khalil Qasimi, chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Hormozgan province, as saying.
He said that 14 percent of all investments in Iran accounted for Hormozgan province in the first eight months of this Iranian year and this province ranks second in the country in terms of investments.
Qasimi added that during eight months, licenses were issued for the implementation of 329 industrial projects.
Meanwhile, 11,700 jobs will be created within these projects and three percent of the jobs in the country will account for Hormozgan province, he said.
Qasimi added that the number of licenses issued for the creation of industrial projects in Hormozgan province increased by 56 percent, amount of investments - by 312 percent, the number of jobs - by 62 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
This shows that the province has a big potential, he said.
