Keshavarzi Bank of Iran repaid loans worth 7.06 trillion rials (about $168 million) to various sectors in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province in southeastern Iran in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said director of Keshavarzi Bank in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province Behnam Farrokhbakhsh, Trend reports citing IRNA.
According to Farrokhbakhsh, the loans were repaid to 18,400 people.
He went on to add that 1.78 trillion rials (about $42.4 million) were repaid to 3,720 people working in the livestock sector, some 204 billion rials (about $4.85 million) - to 216 people from the fisheries sector.
"As much as 76 billion rials (about $1.8 million) loans were issued for water and land development,” he said.
Farrokhbakhsh also named the other sectors: 68 billion rials (about $1.61 million) for 178 people in the beekeeping sector, 270 billion rials (about $6.42 million) for 180 people in the greenhouse sector, 568 billion rials (about $13.5 million) for 65 people in agriculture-related industries.
Farrokhbakhsh said that Keshavarzi Bank provided 72 billion rials (about $1.7 million) to 458 people for agricultural emergencies (such as floods).
