BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. The loans issued in Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan increased in February 2022, Trend reports via the Central Bank of the country (CBA).
According to the CBA, this figure amounted to 17.126 billion manat ($10.07 billion), up by 2.880 billion manat ($1.69 billion), or 20.21 percent compared to February 2021 (14.246 billion manat or $8.38 billion).
During this period, loans worth 13.19 billion manat ($7.7 billion) were issued in Baku, which was 3.53 times higher than in the regions.
In the capital, 9.153 billion manat ($5. billion) of the loans were issued in Azerbaijan's national currency, amounting to 68.34 percent of total lending in Baku.
The average annual interest rate on loans in the country totaled 11.87 percent, and in Baku – 10.38 percent.
