BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. The largest share of loans issued in Azerbaijan in July 2022 fell on households, amounting to 53.2 percent of total lending, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the volume of loans issued to households, in the reporting month, grew by 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion), or 35.45 percent to 10.1 billion manat ($5.9 billion) against 7.46 billion manat ($4.4 billion) in July 2021.

Meanwhile, lending to the sphere of trade and services increased by 555.8 million manat ($326.9 million), or 21.71 percent - up to 3.1 billion manat ($1.8 billion) compared to July 2021 (2.5 billion manat or $1.4 billion). The share of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 16.4 percent.

Lending to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy totally increased by 3.6 billion manat ($2.1 billion) or 23.54 percent in July 2022 compared to the same month in 2021 - from 15.36 billion manat ($9.04 billion) to 18.98 billion manat ($11.16 billion).
