BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. The volume of payments made by foreigners using credit cards considerably grew in Azerbaijan in July 2022, Trend reports citing the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
According to the center, this figure amounted to 213.6 million manat ($125.6 million), up by 118.5 million manat ($91.35 million) or 2.24 times on annual basis.
From January through July 2022, foreigners made bank card transactions worth 1.3 billion manat ($760 million) in Azerbaijan.
In June this year, foreign citizens' expenses through credit cards totaled 203.6 million manat ($119.7 million) in the country, which was 155.3 million manat ($91.3 million) or 4.21 times more than in the same month of 2021.
