Azerbaijan Micro-Finance Association talks about future projects

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA) is currently implementing the 'Future Action Association' project financed by US Agency for International Development (USAID), Trend reports via Chairman Of The Board Of Directors of AMFA Jalal Aliyev told Trend.

He noted that the projects will be a consortium of local and international organizations, including AMFA, Finance and Social Innovation Consulting (FSIC) and the SEEP network.

"The consortium will work directly with local organizations using new methods that allow beneficiary associations to improve their activity. The project will be implemented until September 2024. It will mainly work in three areas: capacity building: development of a training plan; improvement of services: program small grants to create new services and modify existing services; strengthening networks: local/inter-regional training and networking," Aliyev said.

According to him the development of entrepreneurship especially women's is also one of the priorities of AMFA.

"The Association is implementing various projects in this direction and plans to further support the development of small businesses. In its future projects, AMFA intends to provide financial support to small entrepreneurs working in the production sector, including female entrepreneurs," Aliyev added.
