BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has given the green light to foreign investments worth about $382 million into the country, oriented on selected 73 projects, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of the ministry.

As a result, a number of facilities have been put into operation, backed by $96.6 million worth of foreign investments within 34 projects for the reporting period:

industrial facilities - within 26 projects worth $72.8 million,

mining facilities - 5 projects worth $8.5 million,

commercial facilities - 3 projects worth $15.2 million.

In addition, certain facilities are being built in Iran within the framework of 39 projects worth about $286 million.

The most investments in value were made by businessmen from Afghanistan ($150 million), China ($75.5 million), Türkiye ($44.8 million), India ($33.8 million), and the UAE ($20.9 million).

About 41 percent of total foreign investments were invested in Iran's Fars Province, 21 percent - in South Khorasan Province, 15 percent - Razavi Khorasan Province, 12 percent - in Hormozgan Province, and 11 percent - in Tehran Province.
