BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. As of October 31, 2022, the volume of issued loans in the capital and districts of Azerbaijan increased by 3.473 billion manat ($2.04 billion) or 21.71 percent from 15.997 billion manat ($9.4 billion) to 19.74 billion manat ($11.6 billion) compared to the same period of the previous year, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, loans worth 15.012 billion manat ($8.83 billion) were issued in Baku, which is 3.36 times higher than in the districts.

In the capital, loans in national currency totaled 10.89 billion manat ($6.4 billion), or 72.54 percent of the total volume of loans in Baku.

The average annual interest rate on the country’s loans totaled 12.2 percent, and on Baku - 10.58 percent.
