BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The largest amount of loans issued in Azerbaijan as of April 1, 2023, fell on households (57 percent of total lending), Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, in the reporting period, loans granted to households grew by 2.52 billion manat ($1.48 billion), or 27.22 percent year on year, from 9.26 billion manat ($5.4 billion) to 11.78 billion manat ($6.9 billion).
Meantime, lending to trade and services increased by 216.4 million manat ($127.2 million) or 7.03 percent in a year, reaching 3.29 billion manat ($1.9 billion) against 3.08 billion manat ($1.81 billion). The share of the field of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 16 percent.

Lending to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy rose by 14.76 percent, or 2.657 billion manat ($1.56 billion) as of April 1, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, from 18.007 billion manat ($10.5 billion) to 20.3 billion manat ($11.9 billion).
