BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Banks in Iran issued loans worth 199 trillion rials (about $4.74 billion) in the housing and construction sector, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Trend reports.
Of that, 106 trillion rials (about $2.53 billion) were issued for construction work in the housing and construction sector within 2 months.
Also, Iranian banks issued loans worth 80.7 trillion rials (about $1.92 billion) as working capital in this sector for the reporting month.
Over 2 months, 3.73 trillion rials (about $88.9 million) worth of loans were issued for development work in the housing and construction sector, as well as 57 billion rials ($1.36 million) for self-employment.
Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 8.12 trillion rials (about $193 mil) for the purchase of housing in the housing and construction sector, and 201 billion rials (about $4.79 million) for repair work.
In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 4.49 quadrillion rials (about $107 billion) in various economic sectors for 2 months.
