BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11. The diversified holding company of Kazakhstan Freedom Holding Corp. (FRHC), which carries out operations on the provision of financial services in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the US, and the Middle East, has outlined directions of possible cooperation with Azerbaijan, the chief executive officer of FRHC Timur Turlov exclusively told Trend.

"The most important directions of cooperation with Azerbaijan are financial integration, which needs to be built between our banks and our payment systems, integration between state services of public services, as well as telecommunication cooperation. We are interested in the project of an offshore communication cable (across the Caspian Sea), which is being worked on between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Freedom Holding Corp. would like to take part in the creation of a backup cable," Turlov noted.

According to him, the holding is still at the beginning of this path and is determined to move forward.

"We would like to see concrete results within the next year. I am sure that the more private initiative there is, the faster there will be a movement towards success and progress," Turlov said.

To note, the assets of Freedom Holding Corp. amount to several billion US dollars, and Timur Turlov is the majority shareholder of this holding company. The shares of the holding are listed on the American Stock Exchange, the market value of this holding company is about $6 billion.

The holding is known for its high professional standards in financial, brokerage, banking, insurance services worldwide (services are digitized), investments in environmental and social projects, and telecommunication projects.

The holding company's activities are regulated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
