Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 February / Trend / Foreign IT companies are interested in the Azerbaijan's project on creation of an informational bridge between East and West, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister, Ali Abbasov said.
The initiator of the project is the Azerbaijani Government and US Trade & Development Department.
According to the Minister, a conference dedicated to the implementation of the project will take place in Baku in near the future.
The project envisages creation of a high-speed network to fill the data gaps between the East Europe and South-East Asia. The cost of the project was not divulged, as the issue is still to be discussed at the upcoming meeting with the communications administrations of different countries.
