Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 March / Trend / From January to February 2008, some AZN 127.4mln services was rendered to the communication organizations and population, which is 42.2% more compared to the same period in 2007, the Azerbaijani State Statistic Comittee reported. Almost 75% of income fell on mobile communication services, and increase totaled 60.1% from January to February 2007.
An increase was observed in the communication services in Azerbaijani's regions, like Guba-Khachmaz -28.9%, Shirvan - 48.5%, Shaki-Zagatala - 33.3%, Aran - 22.9%, Nakhchivan - 49%, Lankaran- 47.4%, Apsheron- 30.4%and Ganja-Gazakh - 29.2%.
In January 2008, the number of workers engaged in the communication sphere reached 22,300 people with a monthly salary of AZN 327,4 which is 37.3% more compared to the previous years. An increase in salaries made up 28.9% and in the private sector 29.9%.
